Sauna and Cold Plunge

At Kingsdown Camping, we’ve partnered with the fabulous Sauna & Wild – a woodfired sauna and invigorating cold plunge, to add that extra bit of relaxation to our camping experience.

Whether you’re here to simply stop and while away the time, get back to nature, to enjoy our beachside location or off on a coastal explore, this hot-and-cold ritual is the perfect way to reset body and mind after a day outdoors. Warm up in the soothing heat of the sauna, then embrace the wild with a refreshing cold plunge for that unbeatable feel-good glow.

If you’re here for an adventure or pure chill time, Sauna & Wild brings a whole new level of relaxation to your stay by the sea, here at Kingsdown Camping.

THE EXPERIENCE

Inside the traditional wood-fired sauna, you’ll find handcrafted cedar benches that comfortably seat 6–8 people. You can relax to the soothing sounds of shamanic music and breathe in the calming aroma of essential oils as the gentle heat works its magic.

Outside the sauna you’ll find the cold plunge bath, ready for an invigorating and refreshing dip to awaken the senses and make you feel alive, ready to retire back to your camp for an evening of campfire vibes.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING

1. Bring two towels – one to sit on and one to dry yourself with after the experience.
2. Swimwear – we ask you to wear suitable swimwear for the duration.
3. Drinking water – to stay hydrated. Some fruit refreshments will be supplied.
4. Warm clothes for after – the perfect opportunity to get out that dryrobe!
5. Sliders or Flip Flops – or another form of suitable footwear easy to get on and off.

WHO CAN USE THE SAUNA

The sauna and plunge pool is open to Kingsdown Camping customers, who are booked in and staying with us on site on the following dates:

3rd – 6th April – Easter Bank Holiday Weekend
2 – 4th May
23rd – 25th May – Late May Bank Holiday Weekend
20th – 21st June
11th – 12th July
1st – 3rd August
29th – 31st August – August Bank Holiday Weekend
12th – 13th September

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Each sauna and cold plunge session is £15 per person for 1 hour – for a maximum of 6 people.
You get 50 minutes in the sauna & cold plunge – with 5 minutes either side to get changed.
Or you can book a private 1 hour session (for up to 6 people) for £75.

WHAT TIMES ARE AVAILABLE:

Sauna sessions will typically be running between 6am – 12pm, then 4pm – 8pm on the dates the sauna is onsite. However this is subject to change with weather conditions – so please bear this in mind.

Walk ups are also taken on the day – approach the sauna when you’re onsite staying at Kingsdown Camping and you can book an available slot. First come, first served.

When booking your sauna slot in advance, you must quote your Kingsdown Camping Booking Reference, to validate that you are staying with us. Please note – we cannot take sauna session bookings in reception or online at Kingsdown Camping. All bookings must be made through Sauna & Wild directly.

PLEASE NOTE

Due to the nature of the experience, anyone over the age of 18 can book and attend, or if aged between 14-17 – must be accompanied by an adult. Sauna & Wild’s experience is not available to children under the age of 14.
